Ice Skating!

Recently we had "freeze" and a bunch of homeschoolers gathered at Frog Pond for some ice skating!

a friendly game of hockey...

Here's Paul, going after the puck!

It was a bit snowy (as you can see by the trees in this picture) so we shoveled off the ice before we skated...

It's warmed up now, and has been raining these past couple of days, :( but there is still a lot of winter left and we're hoping to get some more ice skating in...

Our First Snow!

...this week we got our first "real" snowfalls...

Sam loves playing in the snow! He's proud of his snowball. :)

Yep, here's our typical winter dress code...no gloves, no hat, no zipped-up coat... We're in style! :)

Paul and the other little kids have been working hard on this "snow fort" all afternoon...

we love the winter...

snow....Snow....SNOW

We have been getting TONS of snow this winter! It is not good packing snow, but fine for sledding. We found a fairly good hill near our house and have been going nearly every day. We have also been doing lots of shoveling to keep our driveway clear! It has snowed about 2 or 3 feet this last week, very unusual for Ketchikan.

Ice skating!

a game of hockey

The weather has been very cold lately and Frog Pong (we are not sure if this is its actual name or a name we gave it a long time ago) froze over. So we packed up our snow gear, ice skates and hot chocolate and spent the day ice skating with some friends.
