Yeah, We're Still Alive!

...Been getting lots of complaints and threats lately about not updating the blog. Sorry about that. We just got back from an almost month-long road trip, so I have lots of great pics. from that. It will take me a bit to load them onto the computer and come up with something clever to say about the pictures :) but I'll get to it soon.

He requested a "palm tree island cake".

One of John's presents was a zip-line. Sam is taking a try.

I asked John if he had any wise six-year-old words of wisdom. :) He said he didn't, but Paul walked into the room and said he had eleven-year-old words of wisdom, "Don't light a tree with sap on it on fire because sap burns really well and it could burn the whole tree up." (hmm... I'm wondering if this was from experience????!!!) It's a good thing John has such a wise older brother to look up too. :)

A very close friend of ours died in a plane crash a few days ago. Please pray for his family; his wife and four kids, who just lost their husband and dad.
