Waving at a Cruise Ship

I was looking through some of our late-summer pictures, and came across these. They were taken back in late August, but I thought they turned out nice, so I decided to post them now anyways.

Dad is driving this Cruise Ship... (no, I'm not joking). He really is!! :) He called us a little before it passed this beach and said he would be passing by. So we all loaded into the car and drove to the beach. We got there just in time. We all ran down to the water's edge to watch the ship pass by and wave.

These ships are SO big... it is pretty impressive.

  1. That is soooo cool, Joanna. I bet your dad loved it when you all came out to wave at him - did they honk at you? What a smart father you have to be able to do that!!! We used to go out on the deck as kids and wave to the ships passing by - now he's steering them!

  2. No, they didn't honk at us. :( Not sure if that's allowed anyway - honking at family members of the Sea Pilot who are waving on the shore...!!! He-he. The Ship Captain might not appreciate it... That would have been great though. :)

  3. That is a very cool thing to be able to wave at a cruise ship and know that your Dad/Husband is piloting it! Way to go Mr. Forget-Me-Not!
